Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does weekly tuition cover?
Child care services typically include low-ratio supervision, age-specific early education curriculum, AM and PM snacks, and enrichment activities for children. The type of care can vary based on age group, time of year (ugh weather!) and the specific needs of your child.
2. What is your daily schedule?
WelcomeKidz is open Monday thorough Friday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM.
We have 3 plan options available for you child (5, 3, and 2 days per week).
3. What Qualifications do our staff meet?
Our class leads all hold a bachelors degree, or higher, in elementary education. Some staff members specialize in special education while others specialize in mathematics and reading or musical education. All staff are PA License approved childcare providers, including passing background checks, CPR/AED trained for all ages, and completing annual continuing education.
4. How do we communicate with families?
In order to communicate with our parents and guardians we will use the Brightwheel app. Through your own custom login, parents and family members can see daily schedules, assessments/benchmarks for their child and any other updates! We will also communicate general information through a weekly newsletter.
5. Will child care accommodate special needs or allergies?
Yes! WelcomeKidz is a peanut-free center, and we take allergies seriously to ensure every child’s safety. For children with special needs, we partner closely with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and state-sponsored support staff to provide individualized care and learning plans. Our team is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can thrive.
6. What does my child need to bring?
The list is pretty short!
We ask that on the first day you bring
- Sleeping Bag that will go on their personal cot for naps. Parents usually bring them home to wash them weekly
- 2x Sets of Clothes (One for Cold and One for Warm) So We Have a Spare
- Special Items like a pacifier, stuffy, or blanket that helps them feel comfortable
What you'll need every day is
1 - Lunch (and lunchbox) that we refrigerate. We can microwave food for them at lunch time!
2 - Reusable Water Bottle so we can keep your little one hydrated
*If your child requires any medication, we will administer and document them as prescribed!
